Dear Al-Anon Friends,
Thank you to the Bylaws Review and Board Procedures and Policies Manual Task Force: Cindi H., Chair of the Committee, Edna M., Jayne T., Patti H., Sherry W., Andy J., and myself. Thank you to the ISRs who agreed to hold a special ISR meeting on Dec 13, 2025, at 10:30 AM to discuss the proposed "Restated Bylaws DRAFT revs 10.07.2025 FINAL." The Task Force met to address questions and comments submitted before the December special meeting, reviewed them with the professional consultant, and prepared a PowerPoint presentation to present their answers and findings.
After the presentation at the meeting, additional comments and questions were addressed. The ISRs and Alternate ISRs who attended voted to approve the proposed final draft of the Bylaws with a few edits and a Preamble. The final Bylaws document will be sent to registered ISRs.
The Task Force will continue to meet in 2026 to complete the Board Policies and Procedures Manual. Allare welcome to join. If you are interested, please contact: [email protected].
New Board members Danielle A, Devon M, Jayne T, Joy B, Kathy L, Lety C, Patti H, and Tessa R, will be installed at the January 10, 2026 Board Meeting and introduced at the ISR meeting that day. It is vital to elect new 2026 ISRs at your meetings and to have them register with Southern California World Service (SCWS) at https://scws-al-anon.org/group-records/ before the January 10 ISR meeting.
